Sunday, March 30th, 2008: Pilots, Bombers Trade Players
The Seattle Pilots have finalized a deal that will send 34-year old starting pitcher Trevor Canela to Brooklyn for 26-year old minor league starting pitcher Robert Bearden. Minor details still need to be worked out before the trade becomes official, but the players involved are expected to be with their new clubs soon.

In career stats, the 34-year-old Canela has won 45 and lost 39, recording 439 strikeouts and 302 walks in 714.1 innings with a 4.38 ERA. Opponents have hit .778 against him.

Tuesday, February 5th, 2008: CF Hodgin to Brooklyn
Brooklyn officials presented their new center fielder Perry Hodgin today before a packed clubhouse of media representatives, agents and baseball officials.

The deal is worth an estimated $76,100,000, and runs for 4 years.

Career to date Hodgin is hitting .292 with a total of 160 home runs.
