It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Richard Vuong, the Miami Masters of Their Domain 24-year-old left fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for Platonic League Player of the Week honors.
He ripped 12 hits in 24 at-bats, compiling a .500 average with 5 home runs and 7 RBIs.
Presently Vuong is batting .413 with 13 home runs and 32 RBIs. He has played in 30 games and scored 35 times. |

An efficient outing for Tyler Conn usually means a win for Brooklyn. Today was no exception, as the 29-year-old starter held Miami to a long line of goose eggs. He struck out 7 and gave up 3 hits in the 1-0 shutout.
His record in 2008 is 3-3 in 7 starts and Conn has a 2.22 ERA. |
 | Thursday, May 1st, 2008: Masters of Their Domain Deluna Named PL's Best Pitcher
There's no doubt that Masters of Their Domain starter Alberto Deluna earned his Platonic League Pitcher of the Month award. He left absolutely no room for doubt as he mowed his way through the opposition in April.
During the month Deluna was 4-0 with a 2.06 ERA. He made 6 starts, tossed 39.1 innings and had 37 strikeouts.
