| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, August 7th, 2007: Neely Slaps 5 Hits
It seemed that Laredo shortstop Dwight Neely could do no wrong as the Tigersharks kayoed the Magistrates 13-2 today as he rapped out 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Henderson pitchers couldn't get him out as Neely seemed to know which pitches they were throwing.
"I think the Tigersharks were stealing signs," growled one unhappy Henderson fan.
"I just felt good today. I saw the ball well and just wanted to make good contact and put the ball in play," exclaimed the jubilant Neely in the postgame press interview.
D. Neely hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, tripled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off D. Pope in the 9th.
Currently Neely is hitting .288 and has collected 1 home run, 13 RBIs and scored 16 times, while playing in 35 games.

| Tuesday, August 7th, 2007: Neely Touches All the Bases, Hits for Cycle
Laredo's Dwight Neely accomplished what few others have been able to do -- he hit for the cycle. In baseball, a player hits for the cycle when he hits a single, a double, a triple and a home run in the same game, though not necessarily in that order. Collecting the hits in that order is known as a "natural cycle."
For the day he finished 5-5 with 2 runs batted in and 5 runs scored and helped his Tigersharks knock off the Henderson Magistrates 13-2 at Tigersharks Ballpark. In the postgame press conference he said, "I didn't even know I had hit for the cycle until after the game."

Looking at his 2007 season stats, Neely has compiled a .288 batting average in 35 games with a .328 on-base percentage, while hitting 1 home run and driving in 13 runs.

Louis-Pierre Rhéaume made quick work of Henderson, blanking the Magistrates 6-0 at Tigersharks Ballpark today. The Laredo pitcher limited them to 4 hits to earn the victory. Rhéaume fanned 7 and walked 2.
In 6 starts this season Rhéaume has rung up a 4-2 record and a 2.40 ERA.
