Sunday, March 30th, 2008: Pilots, Bombers Trade Players
The Seattle Pilots have finalized a deal that will send 34-year old starting pitcher Trevor Canela to Brooklyn for 26-year old minor league starting pitcher Robert Bearden. Minor details still need to be worked out before the trade becomes official, but the players involved are expected to be with their new clubs soon.

In career stats, the 34-year-old Canela has won 45 and lost 39, recording 439 strikeouts and 302 walks in 714.1 innings with a 4.38 ERA. Opponents have hit .778 against him.

Sunday, February 10th, 2008: Seattle, Stockholm Close Deal
A trade between Seattle and Stockholm was made official this morning. The Pilots have sent 33-year old starting pitcher Ayurou Hidetada to the Sluggers in exchange for 33-year old reliever Juan Moncayo and a 4th round draft pick.

So far in Hidetada's career, the 33-year-old starter has won 60 and lost 83, collecting 728 strikeouts with a 4.35 ERA. Opponents have hit .662 against him.

Up to now in his career Moncayo has compiled a 15-17 mark in 259 games with 195 strikeouts and 113 walks in 311 innings. He has been credited with 6 saves and has a 4.51 ERA.
Tuesday, February 5th, 2008: Pilots Announce Deal for Veteran SS
The Pilots today announced that they have come to terms with Charles Fordyce, a 33-year-old shortstop they've been scouting for a while.

Fordyce will earn $12,500,000 a year over 3 years and is expected to play a key role with the club.

Fordyce is hitting .297 during his 1019-game career. He has 1096 hits, 173 doubles, 22 triples, 62 home runs, 410 RBIs, 58 stolen bases and 552 runs scored.
